Mathers, Girard Lead Wahconah Boys Past Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Wahconah boys lacrosse team scored early and often en route to a 13-1 win over Taconic at Berkshire Community College on Tuesday.

 

Matt Mathers and Jeremy Girard each had two goals and two assists, and Dayton Kozlowski, Dart Jaggi and Cole Accardi each scored a pair.

 

Vinny Orlandi and Joe Whitaker combined to stop four shots in the Wahconah goal.

 

Billy Ellis scored a goal for Taconic.

 

Wahconah (1-1) hosts Mount Greylock on Thursday.

 

Taconic (0-1) goes to Hoosick Falls, N.Y., on Thursday.
