Mount Greylock's Bazonski Named County's MVP

Mount Greylock defenseman Kyle Bazonski was named the Berkshire County boys lacrosse Most Valuable Player in a vote of the league’s coaches on Wednesday.
 
Bazonski scored 18 goals and passed out five assists for a Mounties team that went 18-2 and reached the semi-finals of the Central/Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.
 
He is joined on the all-league first team by six of his Mount Greylock teammates.
 
The Mounties placed attacks Reilly Parker, Patrick Storie and Michael Wellspeak, long stick middie Will Reynolds, midfielder Thomas Astle and faceoff specialist Owen Politis on the first team.
 
Wahconah, who also reached the sectional semi-finals, placed four players on the all-league first team: defenseman Matt Cedar, midfielder Connor Washburn, goalkeeper Vinnie Orlandi and faceoff specialist Dayton Kozlowski.
 
Hoosac Valley defenseman Austin Mendel and middie Nick Waterman made the first team along with Pittsfield attack Kevin Quinto and Lee middie Connor Parkinson.
 
Four Wahconah players were named to the all-league second team: attack Dart Jaggi, defenseman Mike Fortin, long stick middie Corey Bazonski and midfielder Kyle Gazzillo.
 
Hoosac Valley placed three players on the second unit: attack Casey Meczywor, midfielder Matt Hall and keeper Cam Alibozek.
 
Mount Greylock had three second-team all-league picks, and Taconic, Pittsfield, Lee and each had a pair.
 
From Taconic, attack Sal Amaral and faceoff specialist Cody Latimer were recognized. Pittsfield attack Mitchell Stechmann and faceoff specialist Trey Salvie made the list. From Lee, defenseman Peter Romeo and middie Homer Winston were named. And Mount Greylock keeper David Falk and defenseman Cam Hadley were joined by midfielder Kyle Alvarez.
