GRANBY, Mass. -- Doug L’Abee scored twice and assisted on two goals, and the Granby boys lacrosse team pulled away from McCann Tech in the second half on Monday.

 

Justin Meczywor scored both McCann Tech goals on assists from Darius Tovani, and Josh Petti made nine saves.

 

“Quite a few of them were point-blank saves,” McCann Tech coach Paul Lange said. “He's come a long, long way. Too bad he's a senior. It would be nice to have him in goal for a second year seeing how much he progressed this year.

 

“It’s tough for the seniors like Brian Boudreau and Dakota Bolte and Josh. ... They're not going to be able to be part of the team as some of these young kids get older, but that's the way it goes in high school sports.

 

“There are still a few games left and a few opportunities to get a few wins here.”

 

McCann Tech (4-11) goes to Lee on Thursday.
