Chicopee Comp Girls Lacrosse Edges Lee

LEE, Mass. -- McKenna Hammerle and Lauren Kinne each had a hat trick, but the Lee girls lacrosse team dropped a 12-9 decision to Chicopee Comp in Wednesday’s season finale.
 
Amelia Gibson and Emily Pavoni led Comp with four goals apiece..
 
Lee’s Nicole Gamberoni had a goal and two assists, and Ashley Barnes and Shannon Finnegan each scored a goal.
 
“This was the last regular season game for both teams and was a hard fought contest to the end,” Lee coach Dave Galisa said. “The first meeting between us ending with Comp winning. 14-3. Our passing and our defense was much improved from the first contest. I was very proud of our team who gave it their all for the entire game.”
 
Myah Zabian made 13 saves for the Wildcats, who finish the season 6-11.
