Wahconah Girls Solid in Win Over Lee

DALTON, Mass. -- Jordan Budaj scored two goals and set up five more to help the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to an 18-7 win over Lee on Monday.

“Today we had a balanced effort from the whole team,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “It was nice to see the girls working together.”

Emmy Cote scored four goals with four assists, and Perin Genaway scored four with an assist for Wahconah, which got a pair of goals each from Rebecca Steele and McKenna McIlquham.

Katie Bachli made 10 saves to earn the win in goal.

Lee got three goals from Meryl Phair and a pair from Emma Bartini. Taryn Paul made four saves in the Lee goal.

The Wildcats (2-5) host Pittsfield on Tuesday.

Wahconah (7-2) travels to Manchester, Vt., to face Burr & Burton Academy on Tuesday.
