LEE, Mass. -- The Lee girls lacrosse team Monday held Wahconah to just two first-half goals before the visitors pulled away for a 6-1 win.

Bri Kasala and Jillian Cote each scored a pair, and Syndey Smith stopped 14 shots to earn the win between the pipes.

“Our defense, led by goalie Taryn Paul played quite well in the first half - holding the Wahconah offense to just two goals,” Lee coach Dave Galisa said. “You have to also give credit to the Wahconah defense as well, since our offense was having a difficult time getting good shots on goal.”

Kylah Rivest scored the lone Lee goal in the second half.

Lee (3-8) goes to Chicopee Comp on Wednesday.

Wachonah (8-5) is home against Springfield Central on Tuesday.
