Peck, Wahconah Girls Lacrosse Top Springfield Central

DALTON, Mass. -- Jordon Peck scored twice and set up two more goals, and Suzie Stefanik had a hat trick as the Wahconah girls lacrosse team defeated Springfield Central, 17-8, on Thursday.
 
Thirteen different players got in the scorebook as Wahconah won its ninth game with three games remaining and broke a three-game losing streak in its final home regular season game.
 
“It was nice to see all the seniors score on their last regular season home game,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said.
 
Emily Figueroa scored twice, and Natalie Diesz had a goal and two assists.
 
Three different goalies split time in the Wahconah goal. Sydney Smith, Olivia Gazzillo and Alorah Mahoney each had a save. Smith also scored a goal.
 
Wahconah (9-8) goes to Bennington, Vt., to face Mount Anthony Union on Friday.
