NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Clare Sheedy scored six goals and set up three more on Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team to an 11-6 win over Wahconah.

“Mount Greylock played fantastic across all aspects of the game,” Mounties coach Lindsey von Holtz said. “Our defense collapsed well, the midfield slowed down the Wahconah transition, and we moved the ball well through the midfield and saw teammates well on attack.

“Wahconah is a strong team, and we knew we would need to play our best to win.”

Jayden Johnson stopped 13 shots to earn the win in Mount Greylock’s goal.

Carolyn Jones had a hat trick, and Brook Masse and Delaney Babcock each scored a goal for the Mounties.

Hannah Bowlby and Jilly Cote each had a hat trick for Wahconah, which got 12 saves from Sydney Smith.

Wahconah (8-5-1) is at Brattleboro, Vt., on Saturday.

Mount Greylock (6-7) hosts East Longmeadow on Monday.
