PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Alie Mendel scored seven goals Friday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 17-4 win over Pittsfield.

 

Claudia Bresett and Karyssa Charon each had a hat trick for the Hurricanes, who got eight saves from Emily Godfrey.

 

Sierra Murray scored three goals for the Generals. Danielle Plankey stopped 16 shots in the loss.

 

The Generals (2-1) host Mount Greylock on April 22.

 

Hoosac Valley (2-0) goes to Hoosick Falls, N.Y., next Friday.
