DALTON, Mass. -- Sydney Smith made seven saves Wednesday to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to a 12-2 win over Pittsfield.

 

Jilly Cote, Kaeli Talora, Grace Calvert and Chloe Accardi each scored a pair of goals in the victory.

 

“A nice balanced effort tonight,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “We created a lot of turnovers to limit their attack.

 

“They play a tough zone defense that was hard to crack. Their goalie made some great saves and so did Sydney.”

 

Leighanna Williamson made five saves, and Sierra Murray scored twice for Pittsfield (2-3) hosts Chicopee on Friday.

 

Wahconah (5-1-1) hosts Mount Greylock on Friday evening.
