Angell Tosses Two-Hitter as Eagles Top Drury

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Hannah Race and Gwendolyn Carpenter each hit an RBI double Thursday to lead the Mount Everett softball team to a 4-0 win over Drury.
 
Marion Devoti also doubled for the Eagles, who got a two-hitter in the circle from Faith Angell.
 
Angell struck out three and allowed three walks in the shutout win.
 
Drury’s Abby Lear and Katie Booth combined the pitching duties, each striking out three.
 
McKenna Pevey and MacKenzie Dobbert had the hits for the Blue Devils (3-4), who host Mount Anthony Union on Friday.
 
Mount Everett (5-3) is at Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
