Tetlow Homers for McCann Tech Softball in Road Win

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Aubrey Tetlow went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and the McCann Tech softball team pounded out 13 hits in a 14-8, come-from-behind win over Springfield Central.
 
The Hornets (3-0) scored eight runs in the sixth and seventh innings while holding Central scoreless to erase an 8-6 deficit.
 
Kalley Vanuni went 3-for-4, and  Hailey Miller was 2-for-5 a triple.
 
Megan Goyette earned the win in the circle, striking out nine and allowing no walks while giving up four earned runs.
 
“We overcame nine errors but made some spectacular defensive plays as well,” McCann Tech coach Robin Finnegan said. “We executed on offense. I’m very proud of the way the girls responded after errors.”
 
McCann Tech (3-0) goes to Putnam on Thursday.
