To the surprise of no one, Pittsfield High School senior Allie Hunt was selected Berkshire County’s Most Valuable Player by the county’s high school softball coaches.

Hunt, a shortstop with a .556 batting average on a team that won 20 games before falling in the Western Massachusetts Division 1 semi-finals, is one of five Generals named to the all-Berkshire team released on Wednesday.

Joining her on the all-county squad are teammates Emily Koldys at pitcher, Hayley Tobin at catcher, Erin Murphy at third base and Britney Perkett in the outfield.

Mount Everett placed four players on the all-Berkshire team: pitcher Chandler DeGrenier, catcher Morgan DeGrenier, first baseman Marion DeVoti and outfielder Gwendolyn Carpenter.

Wahconah shortstop Chloe Warren and second baseman Ashley Zink, Hoosac Valley outfielder Abby Jamross and Taconic pitcher Ashley Keegan round out the all-County squad.

The all-Northern Division team includes three picks each from Wahconah and Drury.

Wahconah’s Allie Borowsky, Jess Warren and Kayla Kowalczyk were named to the divisional squad along with Drury’s Jenevieve Gavazzi, Alli Brassard and Jenna Moulton.

The North team includes two picks each from Pittsfield (Guilianna Pierce and Emma Lacy) and Taconic (Kailey Bell and Jenae Walker) along with Mount Greylock’s Olivia DiNicola.

Monument Mountain leads the way in the all-Southern Division squad with three selections: Lizzy Troiano, Alexa Troiano and Emily Shaw.

Hoosac and Mount Everett each put two players on the South team: Kali Puppolo and Alyssa Pause representing the Hurricanes and Emily Coon and Kersten Cutlip from the Eagles. Lee’s Amy Goss and St. Joseph’s Olivia Mazzeo each earned a spot on the all-South team.
