Marauszwski Leads Wahconah Softball to First Win

DALTON, Mass. -- Morgan Marauszwski went 2-for-3 with a double, a sacrifice and a walk to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 16-4 win over Taconic on Tuesday.
 
Olivia Wehner tripled, and Avery Vale-Cruz and Julia Trager each doubled for Wahconah (1-1), which bounced back after being shut out in its opener on Saturday.
 
Vale-Cruz struck out five and scattered five hits in the circle in the five-inning win.
 
Anna Bongini went 2-for-3 and scored a pair of runs for Taconic, which got a two-run single from Maddie Donovan.
 
Taconic (1-2) hosts Hoosac Valley on Thursday.
 
Wahconah hosts Mount Everett on Thursday.
