GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Dana Clement hit a three-run triple in a seven-run fourth-inning to spark a 17-9 win for the Mount Greylock softball team on Saturday afternoon.

"I think we just capitalized on some opportunities we had with baserunners in scoring position," Mount Greylock coach June Blake said. "We got some timely hits."

Miranda Voller had another of those hits, a three-run home run in the top of the seventh to provide some insurance for the Mounties, who gave a lot of offensive support to starter Fiona Kelley, who earned the win in the circle.

Aspen Sawyer pitched for Monument, which got a triple from Lizzy Troiano.

Blake was happy to get the win and thrilled to get her team out of the gymnasium.

"It was good to get out on a field," she said. "We haven't been out on an entire infield at any point this season. Today was the first day my pitcher pitched off the mound.

"To be about to get out here and play that game, I'm happy."

The Mounties (1-0) travel to Lenox on Tuesday. Monument Mountain (0-1) travels to Lee on Monday.
