Turners Falls Softball Defends Western Mass Title Against Mount Greylock

MONTAGUE, Mass. -- Jade Tyler struck out 14 in a complete-game two-hitter Friday as the Turners Falls softball team defeated Mount Greylock, 10-0, in the Western Massachusetts Division 3 title game.
 
Tyler helped her cause with a home run and she and Holly Myers each went 2-for-2 at the plate in a 12-hit Turners attack.
 
Audrina Pelkey and Kami Sweet each had a hit for the Mounties.
 
Sweet went the distance in the circle, allowing just three earned runs.
 
Mount Greylock finishes its season with a record of 12-5.
 
Turners Falls (16-0) moves on to Monday's state semi-final against Central Mass champion Hopedale.
