This was a must-win game in order to advance to the tournament.  Obviously we fell a little short.

The game was a see saw battle right from the first inning.  Seven batters from both teams) came to the plate in the 1st inning, 5 were strike outs.  Taconic scored 3 runs in the second and Drury scored 1.

Taconic came back and scored another 3 runs in the third, while Drury went down 1 - 2 - 3.  Drury shut Taconic down in the 4th inning while scoring 5 runs on 5 hits, a sacrifice and 2 errors.

Taconic came back and scored 1 run in the  5th on 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 sacrifice and a BB.  Drury on the other hand went down 1 - 2 - 3 each grounding out to the shortstop, A. Ely.

In the 6th Taconic scored 1 more run, while Drury scored an additional 4 runs to make the score 10 - 8, Drury.  The game has been a dogfight to this point.

Everything fell apart in the 7 inning for Drury as Taconic  scored 4 more runs on 3 hits and 5 Drury errors.  Defense has always been the stronger part of the Drury game, but it came crashing down during that 7th inning.
