NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Haley Malloy went 3-for-4 with a three-run double and struck out eight to lead the McCann Tech softball team to an 11-8 win over Ware on Tuesday.

 

Malloy's double came in a five-run sixth inning that broke up a 6-6 tie.

 

Cheyanne Alcombright went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple and scored three times, and Kayla Martin doubled and scored three runs.

 

Alanza Quinones continued her stellar play behind the plate, throwing out a runner at second base in the fifth inning. In fact, the Hornets played good defense as a group behind Malloy, committing just two errors.

 

McCann (6-4) hosts Southwick on Wednesday.
