SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Chandler DeGrenier struck out 12, and Jaclyn Derwitsch and Lauren Edwards each had three hits Wednesday to lead the Mount Everett softball team to a 9-0 win over Mount Greylock.

 

The Eagles scored four runs in the third inning to take control of the game.

 

DeGrenier scattered six hits while Kersten Cutlip and Devan Galli supported her with three runs batted in apiece.

 

Fiona Kelley struck out three for the Mounties (5-6), who go to Bennington, Vt., to face Mount Anthony Union on Saturday morning.

 

Mount Everett (13-2) hosts Lee on Tuesday.
