Mount Everett’s Chandler DeGrenier and Taconic’s Zach Gage run in different circles, but few were as successful as this pair in the week just ended.

Gage led his Taconic squad to a 3-1 dual meet record in a pair of three-way meets. Along the way, he won seven individual titles.

On Tuesday, he took the 100-meter dash and the 200 and won the high jump and long jump in a meet against Hoosac Valley and Lenox.

Three days later, he won the 100, 200 and high jump at Williams College in a meet against Mount Greylock and Mount Anthony. He went 7 inches farther in the long jump than he did on Tuesday, going 19 feet, 1 inches, but he finished second by 3 inches.

The Eagles’ DeGrenier went 3-0 in the circle this week, picking up a pair of shutout wins along the way. She has five shutouts this spring for Mount Everett (8-1), which has a major test on tap Tuesday when Wahconah visits Sheffield.

Last week, DeGrenier gave up just two hits in a win at Taconic and scattered eight in a win over 2016 Western Mass finalist Hoosac Valley.
