This week's Athletes of the Week are yet to know defeat in 2018.

Isaac Percy and the Taconic boys basketball team and Skylar Case and the Hoosac Valley girls are coming off weeks in which each one a pair of games.

Percy, a sophomore is leading the 6-4 Taconic boys with about 10.5 points per game.

On Monday, he scored 18 in a dominating win over Pope Francis. Three nights later, he poured in 10 more as Taconic knocked off Mount Greylock on the road.

Taconic had won five straight going into Monday's date in Bennington. Vt., against Mount Anthony Union.

The Hoosac Valley girls once again are off to an unbeaten start.

The five-time defending Western Mass champions last week beat Berkshire County foe Mount Everett and Division 2 power Longmeadow, the latter at the Spalding Hoophall Classic at Springfield College.

Case was key in the 11-point win at Blake Arena, not just for her 12 points but for everything else the senior does to make the 'Canes click.

"When you talk about MVPs on a team, I know everybody looks at the scorers, Alie [Mendel] and Lexi [Mercier], and they've done a great job for us, but Skylar is a steady influence all season long," Hoosac Valley coach Ron Wojcik said. "All season long, she's been awesome. She's been running the point. She's a senior leader on the court, running the offense, running the defense.

"And she can step up and make big shots when we need her too."

Case is averaging about 4.5 points per game for Hoosac (9-0), which hosts Wahconah on Wednesday before hosting 11 other teams for the all-day Coaches Vs. Cancer event on Saturday.
