McCann Tech Girls' Comeback Falls Short on Road

NORTHFIELD, Mass. -- Jordan Budaj scored 10 points in a fourth-quarter comeback bid that fell a little short for the McCann Tech girls on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Hornets rallied from an eight-point deficit going into the fourth but could not come all the way back and dropped a 52-48 decision to Pioneer.
 
Maddy Tyson scored 12 points to lead Pioneer.
 
The Hornets were led by Allie Gibeau with 14 -- 12 on 3-pointers. Budaj had two triples in her 10-point fourth quarter.
 
Aimee Dowling scored 11, and Alanza Quinones added six for McCann Tech (7-12), which finishes the regular season at Pope Francis on Monday.
