A consistent scorer all season long behind seniors Gabby Lavinio and Shannon Lussier, sophomore Maddie Sprague has really taken her game to the next level the past two games. The 5 foot-8 forward scored a season-high 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 45-38 loss to Lee last Thursday. Sprague followed that up with 10 points and a game-high 19 rebounds in Wahconah's 45-34 win over Drury in the Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase on Saturday. It was a much-needed win for the Warriors, who kept their postseason hopes alive by improving their record to 4-6.

"The last couple of games Maddie has really come alive for us," Wahconah head coach June Blake said. "Not only is she rebounding extremely well, but she has also found her confidence offensively. Her stats show that. Maddie also does the little things. That's what makes her so valuable to this team."

Overall, Sprague is making quite an impact for the Warriors so far this season. Her 9.4 points per game is good for third on the team, while her 9.2 rebounds per contest leads the squad.
