Binghamton, N.Y., Stops Pittsfield Girls

AMSTERDAM, Mass. -- The Pittsfield girls basketball team could not shake off a lackluster second quarter on the way to a 65-56 loss to Binghamton Friday at the Amsterdam Holiday College Showcase.
 
The Generals (3-3) were outscored, 11-4, in that quarter to go into half-time with a four point deficit. And Binghamton extended its lead in a high-scoring, 30-26, final eight minutes.
 
Jordyn Lummus led three Generals in double figures with 22 points and had a double-double with 12 rebounds.
 
Lexi Garvey also had a double-double with 10 points and 12 boards, and Alexi Sondrini scored 11.
 
Julia Eline-Wright scored eight, and Natasha Shade passed out five assists.
 
Pittsfield is at Mount Greylock on Thursday.
