GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Bella Aitken had a double-double, and Kendra Castagna grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 67-40 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Aitken scored 17 points with 11 rebounds, and Castagna scored seven with 10 boards as the Generals (10-4) qualified for the Western Mass tournament.

 

Johnahyah Curry scored 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds and passed out four assists in the win. Kendra Buda matched her with four assists.

 

For Monument Mountain, Destiny Brown scored 13, and Meredith Powell added 11.

 

The Spartans (8-6) are at Wahconah on Monday.

 

Pittsfield goes to Hoosac Valley next Thursday.
