Occasionally, those of us lucky enough to reside in Berkshire County take for granted the beauty of Autumn and unique fall-time events our area has to offer. We’ve put together a list of October Berkshire musts, whether it be businesses that help you prepare for the season, ridiculously fun events, or destinations that thrive in fall. Let’s shine a spotlight on October in the Berks!

Haunted Event: Village Ambulance Explorer Post Fundraiser
This haunted event is designed to raise money for the Village Ambulance Service EMS Explorer Post 911 and will take place on the following dates:

Saturday, October 20, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday, October 21, noon to 6 p.m.

Friday, October 26, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday, October 27, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday, October 28, noon to 6 p.m

Adults: $3, children: $2. Age participation is based on parental discretion. 100% of the proceeds subsidize the Explorer Post. More than 650 guests went through last year’s attraction, which was outfitted to include four rooms: a haunted sushi bar, spooky graveyard, pumpkin patch, and exorcism. A Post Adviser parent was in charge of each room while the students did most of the decorating and acting.
