Hometown Holidays Click here for more information. Hometown Holidays is a month of fun, family activities and shopping bargains leading up to Christmas. Each Thursday night will feature different specials and activities for people to enjoy downtown. For activities on Thursday, Nov 29 scroll down on this page! On December 6 there will be a judging for Holiday Window Decorating Contest (ballots can be returned to MCLA Gallery 51 the day of or anytime between now and then) and Horse Drawn Wagon Rides by Sweet Brook Farm. Upcoming activities will include holiday crafts, face painting, live music, and much more! |

"99 Cents and UP" exhibition is part of Hometown Holidays, an initiative of North Adams Office of Tourism and Community Events and North Adams Chamber of Commerce to encourage the community to shop locally and benefit from in-house products. |

Captured Life Click here for more information. "Captured Life" features a spectrum of mediums from photography, printmaking, mixed media collage, charcoal drawings, paintings as well as sculpture. The artists express a multitude of subject matter, from the humorous to the macabre. This exhibition showcases the works of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) four graduating Art Majors: Adriana Alexatos, Sarah Howard, Kimberly Lavigne and Julia McDonald. Big @#$ Raffle Click here for more information. Hometown Holidays Raffle consists of a large gift basket featuring over $1,000 worth of gift certificates, goods, services and items. People can enter the raffle by bringing receipts equaling $50 or more to the gallery. $50 in receipts gets you one entry, $100 gets you 2, and so on. Receipts have to be for things purchased in North Adams. If you make your purchases during the Hometown Holidays Thursdays, then you get 2 entries per $50 of receipts. The drawing will be held on December 20 at 8pm at MCLA Gallery 51. |

Holidays Recipe Swap Board What are you making on Christmas? Bring down your recipe and share it with the community! This is a great opportunity to refresh your holiday menu and surprise family and friends. A board with Holiday recipes will be installed in front of MCLA Gallery 51. Bring a recipe and take one back. If you have more, even better! |

The Doodle Project Inspired by Patrice Bolgen who is a serious doodler, the allocated gallery space was wrapped with 70 feet of 4 feet high paper for the last month and everyone passing by was encouraged to doodle on it. It was decided that the piece should be cut into 6 foot pieces and artists were recruited to develop each piece in their own style and to keep as much of the existing marks as possible. All pieces will be available at a silent auction with 50% of any proceeds going to the North Adams Food Bank. |

Hoosac Range Trail Guided Hike Get out for a hike before the holiday bustle! The Hoosac Range offers excellent views of the east and west during the winter. Bring crampons or snowshoes if the weather calls for them. Bring snacks, plenty of water, and appropriate footwear! Crampons and snowshoes are welcome if you see fit. Carpooling is appreciated.
