PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The nonprofit Nutrition Center has a new slate of the officers for 2013.
Jonathon Williams McCracken, who currently works for Helia Land Design as a strategic consultant, is the center's new chairman. He succeeds Tom Sirois, president of Berkshire Hills Financial.
"My desire to serve on this board stems from a belief that education and exposure to The Nutrition Center's programming can improve health outcomes," said McCracken. "I sincerely believe that everyone, Northern, Central and Southern Berkshire County, deserves access to nutrition education and cooking skills."
The center offers clinical counseling and nutrition-focused cooking classes throughout the Berkshires, including at Redfield House, The Christian Center, after-school programs and public schools. Its aim is to fill a gap in the nutrition and health services currently accessible to the community.
The other Executive Board officers are Treasurer and interim Secretary Yuki Cohen, vice president and wealth adviser at Berkshire Bank Wealth Management, and Vice Chairman Roberto Flores, market farmer and owner of Good Dogs Farm in Sheffield.
The board also includes Denis Guyer, operations manager and special projects for Iredale Mineral Cosmetics, and Lindsey Schmid, director of marketing at the Berkshire Visitors Bureau.
