McCann graduated nine Practical Nursing students during Wednesday’s Pinning Ceremony.
"Last January I told them it would be a very difficult year and they would have to band together and they would have to work together as a team," Superintendent James Brosnan said Wednesday as he opened the ceremony.
Seventeen graduates of the Practical Nurse certificate program at Berkshire Community College were recognized June 15 during a pinning ceremony in the Robert Boland Theatre of the college's Koussevitzky Arts Center.
It was very much a passing of the torch — or really the lamp — on Wednesday as most of the newly graduated licensed practical nurses were pinned by colleagues and friends, parents and siblings.
The ceremonies in the McCann gymnasium ended with bouquets, applause and bows as the graduates greeted their families.
