Smoking Cessation Program Offered at BMC

PITTSFIELD - Berkshire Medical Center will offer a smoking-cessation program starting in October. The program meets on consecutive Thursdays for a five-week period. The program includes the availability of nicotine replacement therapy.

Registration for the classes is required. The classes are for any smoker who has been trying to cut down or quit altogether and can’t do it alone.

The smoking-cessation program will be offered on Thursdays, from Oct. 18 through Nov. 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Hillcrest Campus, 165 Tor Court.

The program is limited to 12 participants. The cost is $10 per session, unless covered by the participant’s insurance. To register, interested participants may call the Berkshire Health Systems Tobacco Treatment Services program at 413-499-2602 or 800-459-8762, Ext. 9414.
