Conte Middle School in North Adams will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 3, & Thursday, December 4, as the investigation into a mercury spill continues.

The North Adams School Committee this evening at 7 will be held in the City Council chambers.

Ephs finish 2nd out of 25 at Middlebury Men's Golf Tourney

The Thoroughbreds of Skidmore whittled 15 shots off their first day total of 307 to card a 292 and finished six shots head of the Ephs to capture the Duke Nelson Tourney at Middlebury. The Ephs' were one shot off their opening day effort of 302 with a 303 today and finished the 36-hole event with a 605, while Skidmore finished at 599.

The Duke Nelson Tournament was played on Middlebury's Ralph Myhre Golf Course, par 71.

The Eph youth brigade led the way today and on the weekend with first year John Killea recording the best score on Sunday for Williams with a 74. First year Bob Camp mirrored his first round of 76 and classmate Jake Wagner matched that 76 today after firing a 73 yesterday.

Wagner's two-day total of 149 tied him for eighth place overall. Bob Camp notched a two-day total of 152 and Killea tallied 153 in his two rounds.

Junior Tylaer Zara shot a 77 today and senior Brendan Conley recorded an 83. Zara's two-day total was 156 and Conley's was 157.

Next up for the Ephs is the Williams Invitational on September 22 and 23 at the famed Taconic Golf Club.
