Local Man Injured in Hunting AccidentStaff reports - September 24, 2007
WILLIAMSTOWN - A local man is reportedly in critical condition at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester after a hunting accident on Saturday.
Raymond J. Beaudreau, 52, of Ballou Lane reportedly received gunshot injuries to his face and head, including both eyes.
According to Williamstown Police, the incident occurred shortly before noon on Saturday near 481 Luce Road. Police and Village Ambulance responded to the call at 11:20 a.m. and found Beaudreau about 400 feet into the woods. Life Flight was called to transport the victim to UMass Medical Center.
Williamstown Fire Department, state police detectives and state ballistics and crime scene services also responded. State environmental police are investigating the incident.
According to reports in the North Adams Transcript, Michael Seuer of 23 Highland Ave., Adams, told police he had been hunting with Beaudreau and Thomas Peter Beaudreau, of Green River Road.
