Art Workshops Offered by BCC - September 28, 2007
GREAT BARRINGTON - The South County Center of Berkshire Community College will offer the following art workshops in November.
"Showing Your Artwork Professionally" (WKS 836) is designed for artists working in all media who are ready to take the next step towards promoting their work. Students will be shown how to present their work with using contemporary methods. Topics will include creating an artist statement and biography, doing a press release and publicity, and creating support materials using computer software, CDs and the web. The two-session class meets Wednesday evening, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, from 5:30 to 8:30. Registration costs $75.
"Printing Digital Art for High School Student," (WKS 2043) a new workshop, is an introduction to making portfolio-quality work on an inkjet printer. Students will transform their images using Adobe Photoshop while learning the essentials of resolution, output and workflow management. Participants will try different types of paper and learn what makes the finished print "archival." The one-session class meets Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10:30 to 5. Registration costs $65.
