Ever think you'd see that price again? This was taken in Stamford but there are reports some North Adams' gas stations are that low as well.

An Open House Celebration in Adams

- October 15, 2007

Credit Union Now Houses an Insurance Agency

Greylock Federal Credit Union announces plans to hold an open house celebration in Adams. Greylock has completely renovated the office building at 2 Park Street in Adams to accommodate growth within the credit union and to welcome Greylock Insurance Agency. As Regional Vice President Peg Mekdeci said, “The paint has dried, the pictures have been hung, the place is in order and now it’s time to celebrate!”

The open house celebration will be held from October 22 through October 27. Throughout the week, many events will be held at the Adams branch including pumpkin decorating contests, daily raffles, free refreshments and free Halloween safety items will be given away.

To commemorate the open house, Greylock Federal Credit Union will also donate $250.00 to Alert Hose Company of Adams, proudly providing dedicated assistance to the community for over a century. The money will be used towards educational materials.

Greylock Federal’s Pumpkin Patch Hunt will be held Sunday, October 28, at the conclusion of the Halloween Parade at the Town Hall next to Greylock in Adams. There will be cash prizes in each age group.

The newly renovated branch will house the Adams office of Greylock Insurance Agency, which purchased the insurance business of Gallup & Casey Insurance Services, Inc. on June 1, 2007. Greylock Insurance Vice President, David Casey said, “We realize people living and working in the Berkshires expect convenience and good service. Locating our insurance agency representatives within the credit union building satisfies both of those needs to our North County customers and reflects our commitment to excellence in service to individuals, families and businesses.”

Greylock will complete its county-wide expansion of service by opening a Great Barrington insurance office very soon. The combined agency will have $15 million in premiums and an estimated 9,000 customers and Berkshire’s only county-wide insurance agency.

Greylock Federal Credit Union was recently rated the top credit union in the United States for total value returned to Members/Owners according to Callahan & Associates, a national credit union research and consulting firm. Greylock Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school, worships or regularly conducts business in Berkshire County. Greylock Federal is wholly owned by its more than 60,000 members and Greylock offers full-service branches in Pittsfield, Great Barrington, Lee, Adams, North Adams, and Williamstown. More information is available at www.greylock.org.

Greylock Insurance Agency is a full-service agency based at 128 South Street in Pittsfield with additional offices at 150 West Street in Pittsfield, North Adams, Williamstown, Adams and soon in Great Barrington. The agency offers auto, homeowners, life and commercial insurance policies to customers throughout Berkshire County. More information is available at www.greylockinsuranceagency.com.
