Ever think you'd see that price again? This was taken in Stamford but there are reports some North Adams' gas stations are that low as well.

Williams Field Hockey Loses to Skidmore, 4-2

- October 24, 2007

Skidmore senior, Chelsea Lisaius, scored the game-winner on a rainy Renzie Lamb Field in tonight's loss for Williams College. The Ephs (7-6) fell to non-conference rival, Skidmore College (11-5), 4-2.

The Ephs started the game strong, with junior Julia Nawrocki scoring the first goal of the evening with 26:33 left in the first half off a rebound. Skidmore's Christine Kemp answered with 24:31 left in the first half, scoring from a pass by Elise Britt. Williams then regained the lead when Amy Siedlecki scored, assisted by Taylor Wilson-Hill, with 21:52 left in the half. Skidmore tied up the period, with Shaila Delea scoring from Katie Potter with 11:40 left in the half.

Skidmore took control of the second half, piling up the shots and scoring opportunities. Chelsea Lisaius scored, assisted by Casey Tang with 22:35 off a penalty corner. Skidmore added an insurance goal with 6:10 left in the game; Shaila Delea scored her second goal of the game, assisted by Christine Kemp.

Skidmore Freshman, Liz Catinella, played all 70 minutes for the Thoroughbreds, racking up 7 saves. Sophomores Lindsay Jones and Bethany Baker split time in goal for the Ephs. Jones made 3 saves and Baker made 4. The Ephs had 10 penalty corners to Skidmore's 4.

The Ephs performance seemed to decline throughout the game. "This was the best start we've had all season", said head coach, Alix Rorke. "Skidmore was extremely fast and we were hesitant", she said.

The Ephs are looking forward to this weekend's home game against long time rival, Amherst College, at 11a.m. on Renzie Lamb Field. "We love the rivalry…it'll be a huge battle", said coach Rorke.
