NORTH ADAMS - Several police agencies aided in the apprehension of two men in relation to a breaking and entering on Saturday night. Two Pownal, Vt., men were arrested after police received a report of one or more persons stealing parts behind Mohawk Auto Sales on Curran Highway at about 7:30 p.m. Clarksburg police and a K-9 unit from Lanesborough aided in the search. State police said they were asked to search the North Adams Plaza, but it was unclear if that was related to the alleged breaking and entering. Bradley Armstrong, 18, and Mark Lennon, 24, are facing charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony and possession of burglary tools. Armstrong is also facing Class D drug possession (marijuana pipe) charges. In an unrelated incident, police also arrested James Joseph, 49, for allegedly threatening customers at McDonald's with a knife at about 8 p.m. on Saturday. He is facing five charges of assault with a dangerous weapon. No further information about either case was available.
