Sunday, December 30, First Sunday in Christmas
Service of Worship at 10:30 am. This week we have our annual Hymn Sing Service. Guest organist Jane Jenkins will be taking requests for favorite hymns from the congregation. The reading from the Old Testament will be Isaiah 63:7-9 and the New Testament lesson will be Matthew 2: 13-23.
All who would like to go caroling to shut-ins should gather in the parlor today after coffee hour. A Lite Lunch will be provided before we head off to visit our friends and members in local nursing homes, Sweetwood, and a couple of private homes. We encourage carolers of all ages -- no musical talent required!
Monday: Annual Report Deadline
Tuesday: New Year’s Day, Church Office closed
Thursday: Staff Meeting at 11:30 am
Junior Choir rehearsal at 3:15 pm
Senior Choir rehearsal at 7:30 pm
Friday Evening-Saturday Morning: Habitat Crew Spaghetti Supper Planning Sleep-over
Next Sunday, January 6: Epiphany Sunday
Communion Service with Three Kings and White Gifts at 10:30 am
Please bring a gift wrapped in white paper for families moving into permanent housing after a stay at Louison House. Any household items will be appreciated. Some suggestions are: paper products, diapers, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, soap, feminine supplies, dishes, and waste paper baskets. |
