Cafe Latino Offering Fusion of Japan and Peru - January 10, 2008
NORTH ADAMS - Cafe Latino will host an evening of Japanese and Peruvian cooking - "Influence" - on Saturday, Jan. 26.
Chef Omar Montoya of Cafe Latino and chef Joji Sumi of Mezze Bistro will create a menu that joins the two cuisine styles and highlights the influence of Japanese cooking upon that of Peru. The fusion of the cuisines is a direct result of Japanese immigration to the South American country in the 19th century.
The a la caret dinner will be served 5 to 9 p.m. The "Influence" menu will be available as well as limited selections from the regular menu. Reservations are requested, but not necessary.
Cafe Latino is located in building 11 on the MASS MoCA Campus. Experience the warm flavors of Latin America alongside carefully selected wine and cocktails. Escape to the exotic in North Adams.
