MCLA women's basketball team win over visiting Framingham State 63-52

North Adams - The MCLA women's basketball team got back on track, improving to 9-9 overall and 2-5 in the MASCAC with a 63-52 win over visiting Framingham State College.

Sophomore forward, Laura Silverman earned her 4th double-double of the season leading the way for the Trailblazers. Silverman ended the game with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ali Leveille added 10 points in MCLA's win.

Framingham's Christine Bordini lead all scoring with 15 points on the night. She was also credited with a double-double pulling down 11 rebounds. Framingham falls to 8-12 on the season and are without a win in the MASCAC.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
