EarlyStages Offers Opportunity for Young Writers - February 08, 2008
GREAT BARRINGTON - Emmy Award-winning writer Laura Maria Censabella will return to mentor three young writers in the second annual EarlyStages program, according to Bazaar Productions. The writers will be given the opportunity to focus intensively on developing a new play under the guidance of Censabella, a professor of playwriting at the New School for Drama. Their work will also be presented as a free event during the fourth annual Berkshire Fringe, presented by Bazaar Productions.
The two-week seminar and rehearsal period will take place at Bard College at Simon's Rock; participants will be supplied with room, partial board and complimentary tickets to all Berkshire Fringe events.
Bazaar Productions is requesting application submissions from writers ages 18 to 26 who reside in or attend school in the Berkshires or surrounding counties. For application guidelines or more information, visit www.berkshirefringe.org. Inquiries can be answered by co-artistic director Ryan Olson at ryan@berkshirefringe.org or by calling 413-320-4175.
The EarlyStages program is supported by the Boschen Fund For Artists and the Karthryn J. Dinardo Foundation. |
