Pine Cobble Kids Graduate from DARE Program
WILLIAMSTOWN - Fifth-graders at Pine Cobble School graduated from the DARE program on Thursday, Feb. 7.The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program at the school worked in partnership with the Williamstown Police Department.
Joan M. McMenemy, assistant district attorney, spoke to the graduates on behalf of Berkshire District Attorney David F. Capeless. Officer James Rathbun and his K-9 partner Nitro of the Lanesborough Police Department gave a presentation.
The two students read their winning DARE essays and were each presented with an essay badge and a couple gifts. Pine Cobble School was presented with a plaque and soccer ball.
