Brendan Mathews to read from his fiction at Simon's Rock

GREAT BARRINGTON – Brendan Mathews is set to read from his fiction in a faculty forum at Bard College at Simon's Rock. The faculty forum is an intimate setting in which faculty present their research, writing and interests. This reading will take place on Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. in the Oak Room of Blodgett House.
 
Brendan Mathews teaches classes in creative writing and fiction at Simon's Rock. His short stories have appeared in numerous publications including the Virginia Quarterly Review, Epoch, Glimmer Train Stories, Southwest Review, TriQuarterly, and The Southern Review. He is the recent recipient of two notable awards, the Emily Clark Balch Prize for Short Story from the Virginia Quarterly Review and the 2007 McGinnis-Ritchie Award for Fiction from the Southwest Review.
 
The forum is free and the public is welcome.
