MCLA Women Fall to Framingham, 56-82

MCLA is now 9-14 overall and 2-9 in the conference (sixth in the MASCAC) while Fitchburg is 17-6 overall and 9-2 in the conference, currently tied for second with Salem State.
The Falcons, behind 17 first half points from Diana Doyle, took a 49-19 lead at the half. After a few halftime adjustments, the Trailblazers came out strong with 12 steals (Taylor Kenyon lead with five) in the second half forcing Fitchburg into 14 turnovers. Tightening up their defense Doyle was held scoreless in the second half. MCLA's Amanda Brosotti dropped 11 points in the half and Jess Tietgens added nine as they both finished with 11 points on the night.
MCLA would actually win the second half 37-33, but was unable to make up the deficit from the first half.
MCLA will host Westfield State in their final home game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2. Fitchburg State will travel to Bridgewater State for their final regular
season game on Saturday.
