VNA Posts Clinics for April

NORTH ADAMS — The Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Northern Berkshire, an affiliate of Northern Berkshire Healthcare, will offer several public health clinics in the region through April. The clinics include blood pressure and blood sugar screening, medication reviews, and health teaching.

Public health clinics are offered every Tuesday and Thursday at VNA and Hospice, 535 Curran Highway, from 3 to 4 p.m. Clinics are also held every Tuesday at Stop & Shop from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

In April, clinics will be held in Adams at Barrett House, Wednesday, April 2, 10 to 11 a.m.; Valley Street Apartments, Wednesday, April 9, 10 to 11 a.m.; Millhouse Apartments, Wednesday, April 16, 10 to 11 a.m.; and at the Adams Council on Aging, Wednesday, April 23, 10 to 11 a.m.

In North Adams: Holy Family Terrace, Wednesday, April 9, 11 to noon; 150 Ashland Street, Tuesday, April 15, 9 to 11 a.m.; and St. Joseph's Court, Thursday, April 24, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

In Williamstown: The Spruces, Wednesday, April 9, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.; and the Harper Center, Monday, April 28, 1 to 2:30 p.m.

In Cheshire: Cheshire Senior Center, Wednesday, April 23, 1 to 2 p.m.

Other community events offered at the VNA and Hospice include:

    * Wednesdays in April: Childbirth education classes, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Call the Birthing Center at NARH at 413-664-5127 for information and to register.
    * Tuesday, April 8: Alzheimer's Support Group, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
    * Teleconference, Wednesday, April 16, 1 to 4:30 p.m.
