MCLA to hold Community Day

- April 24, 2008

NORTH ADAMS – Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will hold a Community Day this Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Academic Quad on the MCLA campus.

The events are free and open to the community.

“Community Day is an event that will combine efforts of our student body with the college and local communities,” said Celia Norcross, MCLA student development director. “It has activities that are fun and informative for the MCLA students, as well local families. It has created great relationships with area community organizations and our MCLA student groups.”

The event will include information about continuing education courses and from the offices of Admissions and Alumni Development; health stations from Berkshire Health Systems and the Reach Foundation; an inflatable obstacle course and a moonbounce; and the Center for Service’s children’s reading corner.

Also available will be voter registration, a public Safety program, an ALANA and Multicultural Center program, and an Athletics Department display, key chain kaleidoscopes, caricature artists, photo wipe boards, airbrush tattoos, cotton candy, snow cones and more. For more information, go to www.mcla.edu
