Mountain Road School Players Present “The Fisherman And His Wife” - May 07, 2008
NEW LEBANON, NY – Mountain Road School, a leader in progressive education, will present a fun, family-friendly performance of “The Fisherman and His Wife” on Friday and Saturday, May 16th and 17th at the Darrow School Theatre, located at 110 Darrow Road in New Lebanon. Curtain is at 7pm.
The play, a tale of poverty, wealth and happiness, is based on the story by the Brothers Grimm, and adapted by Howard Martin Katzoff and Sara Katzoff. It will be performed by the Mountain Road School Players, and directed by Ms. Katzoff. The play is funded in part by grants from the Brabson Foundation and from the Sidney and Beatrice Albert Foundation.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children, and may be purchased by calling Mountain Road School at 518-794-8520. Tickets also may be purchased at the door.
Mountain Road School is located on Darrow/Shaker Road between Pittsfield, New Lebanon and West Stockbridge, on the NY/MA border off of Route 20. The campus includes 400 acres of beautifully terraced organic gardens, fields, woods and streams in a former Shaker Village.
