Have a heart. Daniel needs a home.
Pittsfield Students to Be Honored

PITTSFIELD — Two Pittsfield High School students will be honored with a special award for outstanding volunteer service.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award will be presented to Daniel and Christopher Tweed-Kent at a special program during awards night in the auditorium at Pittsfield High School on Wednesday.

The twins are credited with organizing the 1000-Mile Relay that has raised more than $34,000 dollars for the Touching Tiny Lives Foundation.

Daniel and Christopher are also members of the Pittsfield Rotary Interact Club and donate their time to many other volunteer services in the community.

Berkshire Mall Hosting Heart Gallery

LANESBOROUGH — The Berkshire Mall will be introducing the "Heart Gallery," a traveling collection of photos of children who are up for adoption.

Department of Social Services spokeswoman Lori Kays said the gallery moves across the state and will be at the Berkshire Mall throughout the month of June.

Information on siblings Deaveon and Marquis can be found in the Heart Gallery.
The gallery is designed to draw attention to foster children who are in need of a permanent home. More than 600 children in Massachusetts are in need of loving parents.

Spearheaded by the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, Inc., amateur and professional photographers donated their time and talent to create the gallery.

Local heart galleries have been established in more than 40 states as public awareness and family recruitment events.
