More Snow
The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend.
We have reports that the roads are very slippery to take care in the evening commute. |

BCC Hosts 'Got Math?' Closing Celebration - June 19, 2008
PITTSFIELD — Berkshire Community College will host a "Got Math?" closing celebration Thursday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m. in its Koussevitzky Arts Center.
Students from participating elementary and middle schools, their parents, mentors, and business partners will celebrate the completion of the popular after-school program’s current cycle. “Got Math?” brings mathematics "to life" by applying it to real-world situations and making it fun to learn.
Participating schools include Brayton Elementary School in North Adams, Richmond Consolidated School, Herberg Middle School and Stearns Elementary School in Pittsfield, and Muddy Brook Elementary School in Great Barrington.
Students from the participating sites will receive their certificates of achievement and give short presentations about what they learned in the program.
Gina Foley, BCC’s "Got Math?" coordinator, is coordinating the event. |
