More Snow
The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend.
We have reports that the roads are very slippery to take care in the evening commute. |

Art Songs East And West Meet At Ventfort Hall - July 01, 2008
LENOX - Art Songs East and West will meet under the title “Sacro e profane” at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum on Sunday, July 20, at 5:30 pm. The concert will be followed by a reception with the artists and refreshments.
The three guest artists who will perform these works are Olga Bykhovsky, mezzo-soprano; Carla Paryla, soprano, and William Merrill, piano accompanist. They will present such songs as “Laudamus te” from Vivaldi’s “Gloria”, Caccini/Vavilov’s “Ave Maria”, “By the Waters of Babylon” from Dvorak’s “Biblicke pisne”, excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s opera “PiqueDame”, “La vergine degli angeli” from Verdi”s “La forza del destine” and “Recordare, Jesu pie” from his “Messa di requiem”, “Esurintes” from Bach’s “Magnifact”, “Du bist der Lenz” from Wagner’s “Die Walkure” and “Traume” from his “Wesendonck Lieder”.
Admission to the July 20 concert, reception and refreshments is $25 per person. For reservations and information call Ventfort Hall, which is located at 104 Walker Street in Lenox, at 413-637-3206. |
