Behind the Scenes at Williams College Museum of Art

- July 15, 2008

The Williams College Museum of Art is offering a special three-part series on July 24, 29, and 31 at 2 p.m. that provides visitors the unique opportunity to explore the galleries and view rarely exhibited artwork from the museum’s collection in a classroom setting.

The programs, entitled “Visions of the Past: Antiquities at the Williams College Museum of Art," "The Political Landscape in Contemporary Art," and "Drawing out the Story: Literary Connections," will be led by the museum’s education department. The programs are free and visitors may attend any or all of the sessions. However, space is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so visitors are encouraged to arrive early.

The Williams College Museum of Art is located on Main Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The museum is wheelchair accessible and open to the public. Admission is FREE. For more information, contact the museum at 413-597-2429.
